Sheesh!!

Where does the time go. Its not that I haven't wanted to blog and what not but first our laptop crashed, and time seems to be diminishing!! There have been so many things I have wanted to say, and the important ones i will blog about even though they may have happened a while ago. I can't believe the twins are almost one. they are not quite walking yet but get around pretty good otherwise. I have to lock them in the living room while i clean, otherwise they just follow me around and cry! They play pretty good together for the most part. Taley is obsessed with eyeballs and likes to try to dig them out! Tessey is super chessey with her grins! They are just so dang cute. I love them so much. I love to just sit and watch them play. Austy is getting so big. I wish i could attatch a little microphone to record all the funny things she says. We are so blessed with all that we have. I just feel greatful right now for my children, my husband, my family, and all the many blessings a loving gracious Heavenly Father has given me! I am greatful for the tender mercies i get as a mother. Hopefully it won't be 8 months before I have a little time to post about the things i was talking about earlier.

A pretty fun weekend!

I had a pretty fun weekend, but it was busy! I got the crazy idea to do this craft fair and put in my Mary Kay stuff, but also make candy to sell! We made caramel apples dipped in all sorts of goodies, fudge 3 different kinds, dipped oreos, monster munch, which is popcorn, and a cinnamon caramel crunch popcorn. Oh it was so yummy. We sold out of everything but the cookies! Then on sunday we finally blessed the girls. It was so special. Hubby did such a good job. He is so wonderful and inspired. We shared our testimonies, and austy wanted to get up there and sing twinkle twinkle how I wonder! It was also Austy's birthday yesterday. 3 years old, I just can't believe it. I am getting old!! We had a small dinner with family and played games and talked. I can not believe this weather we are having. Yesterday at church it snowed like 2 inches. I think most if it is gone now, but still it has been cold. So I make fires!!

Random Photos

Twins are the best!
when Talya was in the NICU, we would take Tessa in and put her in with just her diaper on and before you know it they were all tangled up in each other. Talya's vitals would get better. Tessa would put her arm on her and just look at her. They were so darn cute to watch! That special bond they already have!
Check out this story! It is exactly what we experienced!

Part 2

So I don't really remember them wheeling me into my room and I don't remember what happened after that. I just remember laying in my bed and I think they brought Tessa to me to nurse in just a little while. I kept calling her Austyn! She did look a lot like her, but I think I was aslo a little drugged up! I couldn't even get up to go see Talya until late that night or early morning. I din't even get to hold her for a day or two. I cried when I first saw her. She was hooked up to a lot of tubes and her poor little nose was so bruised it was completely black. The first c section they used staples and this time it was stitches. I can't even believe the difference. Stitches were so much better. I think i was up walking around and feeling better than I did the first time. Lets talk about hormones for a minute. To me before pregnancy and even before getting married, it was just a word that did not affect me! I think it is the main reason I gained so much with my fisrt pregnancy. I had no idea how big of a role they played in our health. So the second day in the hospital I was just talking to one of the nurses and was talking about Talya. I just started crying, because I felt like it wa my fault that she was in the NICU and everyting just seemed so sad or something. Then the next day I felt great and was happy and what not. Then the next day I hadn't eaten breakfast or anything and kade went and got a wheat grass shot for me, because it was supposed to help with being anemic. I guess I had lost 2 pints(I remember in the or the doctors telling kade he might want to watch his step, and Kade said a whole bunch of blood was oozing his way) and was on the verge of having to get a transfusion. The doctor said it was up to me. Anyway so I took the shot and it didn't taste too bad, and I was eating a breakfast sandwich and all of a sudden I couldn't keep anything down and starting throwing up a whole bunch. I burped and kade said it smelled like I ate a grass field or something. I threw up pretty much the whole day and was really weepy and what not. So my point was is that my hormones were still adjusting and what not. I think it helps knowing that hormones play such a big role and that is just not because somebody is crazy or something like that. After that I kind of started feeling better. Then I started to get really worried about my milk not coming in. It took five days for it finally come in all the way. In the mean time the hospital got their pump out and I got out a little bit and Talya was doing so well with eating. I did have to feed tessa some formula for the first little while.

AT LAST!! Part 1

There is so much news to tell and pictures to show that I thought I would do it in parts. I need to get right on this so that I can remember as much as possible.
The events leading to the big day!!
First it all started in week 34, like I said I just kept swelling up. We had a doctors appt. on Wed the 17th. We went in for the U/S and baby a's fluid was down to a 6 and still had not grown that much. Baby b was doing fine. Then we did a non stress test and everything was good on there. My blood pressures was really bad and they also check reflexes, and protein in my urine. These are the symptoms for toxemia. (which then leads to pre-eclampsia and a whole bunch of worse things.) So the doctors said we needed to have these babies within the next couple of days. We chose the next day, since we were already in down there. I all sudden got nervous and excited. A part of me wanted them to come soon, for my own selfish reasons, but I wanted them to be healthy too. So June 18, 2009 we scheduled a c section for 7:30 in the morning. This made me scared, because I am not a morning person and get a little sick in the morning times. I didn't mind my first c section. I felt I healed really fast and was good to go. Of course I don't have anything else to compare it to, but still I always said I would do another one! So we started making the calls to our fams to let them know we would soon be adding the 2nd and 3rd members of our family! We got a hotel room and my mom came down with our oldest to spend the night with us. I could not go to sleep. I didn't go to bed until 1 and had to get up at 5. We had to be 2 hours early to get checked in and what not. I was getting nervous and kept watching the clock. I was so glad to have my sweet hubby there holding my hand. Finally I walked into the OR and got up on the table. The spinal block was painful this time. They said it was because I was a little bit swollen. IT also took longer for it to work. The doctors asked if I could feel anything, they were pinching my toes! I said I thought I felt something on my stomach! I am not sure when they started. All I remember is telling hubby that it was coming. I was going to throw up. It is the weirdest feeling trying to throw up being numb and not being able to use my muscles! The docs also said that was very normal. They had to give me two different meds to stop it. Finally one baby was here! Crying and sounding healthy. We got to hold and see her, then 2 mins later out came the 2nd. She did not sound so good. They immediately took her to the nicu. Hubby followed her out to see if everything was ok, and I was wheeled into my room, I think. I really dont remember much!
To be continued in part 2!
